Abstract

In order to improve the dynamic performance and the fuel economy of HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle)and to simplify the structure of driving system,a novel multi- mode driving system is proposed for REEV (Rang-Extended Electric Vehicle).Then,all the operating modes and the power flow distribution of the proposed systemare analyzed,and the performances of engine,motor and battery are obtained through a bench test.On this basis,a dynamic model of such key power components as engine,main motor,auxiliary motor and the battery and a vehi-cle simulation model are established by using the Matlab/Simulink software,and the dynamic performance and thefuel economy of the vehicle are simulated.The results show that,as compared with the Volt system,the proposedsystem improves the dynamic performance significantly,increases the maximum speed by 37.5% and decreases thefuel consumption by 24.8%.
