Extraction of Equivalent Circuits of Suspended Stripline T-Junctions

Abstract:

In order to design phase shifters with high accuracy, the equivalent circuits of the single-chip-coupling suspended stripline T-junction and the dual-chip-coupling U-shape suspended stripline T-junction are presented based on the stripline structure and the transmission line model. The circuits are then employed to calculate the S parameters (magnitude and phase) of the T-junctions, and the results are compared with the ones from Ansoft HFSS simulation and measurement. It is found that the proposed equivalent circuits are effective in designing the phase shifter with electrically-controlled antennas.
