A New Multifunctional Diesel Additive

Abstract

Abstract: A new multifunctional diesel additive was developed by mixing surfactantsoily solvent and water etc ．together ．The results of diesel engine idle test and platform test show that the additive improved combustion and effectively reduced deleterious emission of CO NOx HC and smoke grade ．The major factors affecting the performance of the additive were discussed ．The micro-explosion mechanism was adopted to explain the action mechanism of the additive ．
