Mechanical Properties of Scrap Tire Rubber Pads Based on Thermal Oxygen Aging

Abstract: The 6-layer scrap tire rubber pads (STP) of 180mm ×180mm ×69mm were selected to study the aging performance of STP. Accelerated aging tests of specimens were carried out in a temperature-controlled weathering chamber at 100℃ for 77h,154h,231h,308h. By comparing the vertical ultimate strength,vertical compression stiffness,horizontal stiffness and horizontal energy dissipation capacity of STP before and after aging,the variation law of the vertical ultimate strength,vertical compression stiffness and horizontal energy dissipation capacity with aging time was analyzed. The results show that within the normal age of the buildings the mechanical properties of STP are stable and the seismic isolation is reliable.
