Abstract: The microwave-assisted extraction technology for astragalus polysaccharide was studied‚with water as the extraction solvent. The optimal extraction conditions were obtained as follows: the ratio of water to the material‚12∶1;pH value‚9‚regulated by saturated limewater;two doses of microwave radiation (300☞W) for10min.Precipitate was obtained after the extracted liquor was concentrated in vacuum and blended with ethanol. The crude product of as-tragalus polysaccharide with the yield of14.6% and the purity of88.1% was then obtained after the precipitate was washed with ethanol for several times and dried in vacuum. It is found that‚compared with the direct -heating extrac-tion‚the microwave-assisted extraction can shorten the extraction duration‚reduce the consumption of the solvent and improve the yield of astragalus polysaccharide.
