Abstract: Based on the experimental research on the fin formation mechanism by ploughing-extrusion machiningthe formation characteristicsmachining conditions and formation mechanism of the3D integra- l fin of stainless steel were investigated.The experimental results show that the influence on the fin formation attributes to such factors as tool ge-ometry parameterploughing-extrusion depthfeedploughing-extrusion velocity and the superposition angle of the secondary ploughing-extrusion.The reasonable values of matching parameters obtained by experiments are:the inclination angle of the ploughing face10°~35°;the extrusion angle10°~25°;the ploughing-extrusion velocity5~10m/min;and the feed0.4~0.8mm.
