Development and Swing Range Analysis of Base Fabric- Traverse Z- Shaped Weaving Device of Artificial Turf

Abstract:

In order to improve the bearing capacity of base fabric and the distribution uniformity of artificial turf,abase fabric- traverse device with eccentric wheel,which realizes the Z- shaped weaving of artificial turf,was deve-loped. Then,the influence of Z- shaped swing range on the bearing capacity of base fabric of artificial turf was ana-lyzed. Moreover,a virtual prototype model of the device was established,and the corresponding motion simulationand unloaded operation were carried out. Finally,tensile tests of the base fabric with a row spacing of 19 mm(3/4 inches) and with four different swing ranges were conducted. The results indicate that,as compared withline- shaped artificial turf,Z- shaped artificial one is of better distribution uniformity and stronger bearing capacity ofbase fabric,and that the bearing capacity of base fabric becomes superior when the swing range is about half of theline spacing of artificial turf.
