Abstract:

ln order to meet the requirements of tracing the pose and orientating the position of operation instruments in computer-assisted orthopaedics surgery navigation,a passive optical stereoscopic orientating and tracing model IS devel0Ded based 0n the area CCD (Charge Couple Device) binocular vision sensing, and then the corresponding svstem is investigated.Experimental results show that the spatial object in depth direction ranges from 700 to 1 000 mm.and that the maximum path deviation of the spatial object can be controlled within 0.3 mm when the sDeed 0f the operating mechanism is 1 00 mm/s.It is shown that the proposed system is precise enough to satisfy the demand of orientating and tracing operation instru ments in orthopaedics surgery navigation·
